Summarize what you have learned about discourse markers. Tell us how much do you care discourse markers (consciously, unconsciously)when you read English texts?
A:
Discourse markers are not directly concerned with significant. Instead, they signal relationships. For example, betwwen different parts of the discourse, between the writer and his message.
The markers fall into ghree main classes
1. Markers which signal the sequence in which reported events occurred.
2. Markers which signal the writer's manner of organizing the discourse.
3. Markers which indicate the writer's view of ther facts, etc written about.
I have a habit that is drawing a circle on discoure markers consciously. Becuase, i was trainded to draw a circle on discourse. My teacher told me that this habit would help you, when you analze a text. After that. i always draw a circle on discourse. As a result, i could notice discourse markers consciously. I belive that this helped me to understand deeply.
